Verbal and nonverbal strategies for calming and redirecting behaviour

Safety principles to protect both caregiver and child during high-risk situations

Ways to promote positive relationships and emotional regulation

Goal: Build confidence and calm through understanding and prevention.
**No physical skills training; fully discussion- and strategy-based.

Recommended for families new to behavioural intervention or experiencing mild-to-moderate safety concerns.

  • Additional Training Requirements:

Although Essentials Training is open to anyone,
there are compliance requirements that must be met prior to participating in the Intermediate and Advanced Trainings.
